The Great Trail Tour - Whycocomagh

Starting on The Great Trail, the world’s longest recreational trail, with beautiful look-offs over Nova Scotia’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Ainslie. View the historical site of MacDonald House, in memory of Alexander MacDonald and the other pioneeer settlers of the area. Enjoying a tasty trailside lunch and travelling through the glen, with a short walk to local waterfall. On route back to our trail head, stopping at Whycocomagh look-off, taking in the view of Unamaki and the Bras d'Or Lakes.

Waiver Form

You may print and sign the waiver form in advance of you arrival to save a step onsite before your scheduled tour.

All necessary safety gear, helmets, liners and safety glasses are provided.

Incredible Highland Forest Tour

Experience being in the Acadian hardwood forest - hearing, smelling, seeing the natural beauty of Cape Breton Island.


Come and join the fun and excitement of off-road trail riding with TNT Outdoor Adventures Inc! Your driver is a certified UTV tour guide that will meet you in Whycocomagh at 9:00am and provide you with a safety briefing and trail protocol. Helmets and safety glasses are provided by TNT. You should dress comfortably, for the forecasted weather conditions. Layers and sturdy footwear recommended; face covering/mask suggested, as sometimes we kick up a little dust! Gloves may be a good option as well. Water, snacks and a tasty trailside lunch included. The tour is approximately 5-6 hours. Be prepared for fun!

Arrive 9am Whycocomagh Mountain

You will meet your TNT Outdoor Adventure tour guide at The Great Trail head in Whycocomagh, the world’s longest recreational trail, we will travel through the Acadian forest and visit beautiful look-offs over Nova Scotia’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Ainslie

Noon - Lunch Break

View the historical site of MacDonald House, in memory of Alexander MacDonald and the other pioneeer settlers of the area. Stopping at Trout Brook to enjoy a tasty trailside lunch.

Afternoon Glen and Waterfall Tour

We will return travelling through the glen, and stop for a short walk to a local waterfall. We will enjoy the views of the Bras d’Or Lakes from Whycocomagh look-off before continuing on the Great Trail to our start point.

2-3pm Return to Whycocomagh
Arrive back at departure point.
