Booking dates available from: May to DecemberLet us guide you from the base of Crowdis Mountain Wilderness area to one of Cape Breton’s best views, Cape Clear. At over 1,500 feet in elevation, you’ll have an unparalleled view over the highlands and picturesque Margaree River. With up to 5 of your friends in our Polaris Side-by-Side, our knowledgeable guide will show you the Cape Breton you’ve never seen, provide you with tasty local snacks, and lots of photo ops! Enjoy Cape Breton’s fresh air and a new way to experience the stunning views while watching for wildlife along the way.
Our Ultimate Trail Tour extends to include a visit to the North River Falls Lookoff (for our waterfall adventure seekers) OR Dr. Alexander & Mabel Bell’s chimney site at Bell’s Lake (for our History seekers). Your choice! (see details below). Also included is a delicious trailside lunch.
Extension Trip Choices
North River Falls Look-off
Trail Tour includes a short walking hike~15 min to Look- off. Our guide will lead you through the Highland trails to a protected wilderness area where you will have a short walking hike (little uneven terrain) to the look-off to North River Falls. The view is amazing – you will not be disappointed to see Nova Scotia’s highest waterfall, reaching a height of 32m. The trail to the Falls (not the look-off) is a challenge for the average hiker. We take the more manageable route to enjoy the sights and sounds from the Look-off. We are in the CB Highlands so we also keep an eye out for wildlife and request you stay with your guide. There will be plenty of time for optimum photo shots! We love to share this view with our waterfall adventure seekers!
Alexander & Mabel Bell’s chimney at Bell’s Lake
Trail Tour includes a short walk~5 min to chimney site. Our guide will take you on a separate trail direct to the location of Dr. Alexander Graham Bell and Mabel Bell’s cottage on Bell’s Lake. There is a short walk through the woods which will reward you with glimpse of history, circa 1895 ~ the stone chimney of Bell’s cabin. Bell once said, “I have travelled around the globe. | have seen the Canadian and American Rockies, the Andes, the Alps and the Highlands of Scotland, but for simple beauty, Cape Breton out-rivals them all” We agree and believe you will too! Dr. Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone, and widely known scientist and investigator, died at home on Beinn Bhreagh Mountain, Baddeck at age 75 (1922). This historic site was his cabin on beautiful Bell’s Lake.

You will meet your TNT Outdoor Adventure tour guide at 1072 Cabot Trail, Hunter’s Mountain. We will have you geared up and ready to start your trail tour, climbing the mountain road and on route to the breathtaking views of Cape Clear!
1:00 pmTrailside stops & photo ops
This is the inside trail of the Cape Breton Highlands so keep watch for wildlife along the way. We stop for scenic photo ops and a delicious trailside lunch during our trip. As per your choice we travel to the North River Falls Look-off, including a short hike OR we continue to Bell’s Lake – Dr. Alexander & Mabel Bell’s chimney at Lake, including a short walk through the woods. We will continue travelling through the Highland trails and woods road, circling back to our start point.

Trip Pricing
Come and join the fun and excitement of off-road trail riding with TNT Outdoor Adventures Inc! Your driver is a certified UTV operator that will meet you at 1072 Cabot Trial, Hunter's Mountain for a 9:00am start and provide you with a basic UTV/side-by-side safety protocol for trail riding. Helmets and safety glasses are provided by TNT. You should dress comfortably, for the forecasted weather conditions. Layers and sturdy footwear recommended; face covering/mask suggested, as sometimes we kick up a little dust! Gloves may be a good option as well. Water and delicious trailside lunch included. The tour is an unforgettable 6+ hours adventure. Be prepared for a fun filled day!

I’m so glad I booked this trip for my family. Turk was a great guide and my kids learned a lot about the land. Turk’s calm demeanour and love of the woods made for a great afternoon. Spending the afternoon with a proud Cape Breton local was a good way to get a deeper understanding of the island.

Great time!
Our family of 4 took a tour up to cape clear.
The ATV was packed with everything we could possibly need. We had a great lunch, snacks, warm blankets, and more. It was a great way to explore this beautiful island.
Turk was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and great with our kids. I highly recommend.
We are looking forward to doing another tour in the future!

Thank you so much Cathy and Turk for an unforgettable day of extreme ride and lots of fun. Turk went above and beyond to show us hidden spots, take us through challenging terrain and making sure we have fun. Almost 100km in beautiful Cape Bretton made our trip to be total fun. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make life long memories. Will definitely come back for snowmobile tour next season.
